Pokémon Go is the latest craze in the gaming world. It has impressed people from all over the world and has become a favorite of many. It is a free-to-play location-based, augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android.

Players or Pokémon Triners are required to go out in the real world and catch Pokémon, refill supplies from Pokeshops and battle it out in Gyms. It is a very interesting and captivating game that has taken the who world by storm.

Pokémon Go was launched in July 2016. It is launched by the same company that had earlier launched the popular game Ingress. The launch of Pokémon Go was announced in September 2015.

Nintendo in partnership with The Pokémon Company made the game available for both iOS and Android. Just 5 days after the launch of the game Nintendo’s market value increased with $9 billion.

It became the most downloaded app ever on Google play store and Apple store on the first day of release.

Just after 2 days of the launch of the game, it was already installed on 5.16% of all android devices in USA. If you think this isn’t much, by next day Pokémon Go was already installed on more Android phones than Tinder.

It is interesting to know that more than 60% of the people who have the app on their phone use it on a daily basis which makes it around 3% of the entire US population. The daily active users of Pokémon Go are neck to neck with Twitter users.

And in a few days Pokémon Go is likely to have more users than any other well established social networking site.
On an average Pokémon Go is used for 43 minutes and 23 seconds every day. This makes it more than what people spend time on Messenger, Whatsapp, Snapchat and Tinder.
